This is a great looking watch with typical Tag quality and feel. I'd been looking at F1's for a while, but couldn't settle on the rubber band. I actually like it a lot better than I thought I would, and if I want to, I can replace the rubber with a metal band. Hey a Tag I could afford! But after I got over the thrill I was let down. The construction is not that good. The band is narrow and poorly designed , the end of the clasp sticks up and catches on things,the hands are loose and jump off the setting when setting the time. As far as I am concerned these are NOT worth the price,you are just paying a high price for a name. Look elsewhere unless you just have to get a Tag. This watch is great for automotive racing drivers and fans. The split time functions are just awesome. I am not sure if I made the right choice on the rubber band though. Tag Heuer states in the owner's manual that prolonged users should choose a metallic band over the rubber. I just preferred the sportier look of the rubber. People should also know that the large red sweeping second hand is part of the stop watch functions not constantly sweeping as part of the time keeping function. The smaller red second hand is the constant sweeping time keeper. So the large red second hand stays idle at 12 o'clock when stop watch functions are not in use. That just proves however that sport/racing comes first with this watch. Lastly the box is almost as impressive as the watch. Just received this watch and all I can say is wow! My local Tag dealer was going to charge me 1200.00 for this and I got a lot better deal here. The watch is perfectly sized for women of all sizes and has the look and class of a causal everyday piece but it can also fit in the most formal environment. As the title says: BEWARE OF AMAZON'S JEWELRY DEPARTMENT.
I ordered this watch and received a "package" on the 29th of January. As I excitedly opened the package to see what I purchased, I found that the box was completely empty. I received the gift box, the amazon.com warranty cards, the manual in leather enclosure... but no watch.
Customer service in this situation is WORTHLESS. Apparently the jewelry department of Amazon cannot be contacted by email or by phone. They wanted me to file a false police report stating that the watch was stolen. Highly dishonest and unethical for a company such an Amazon to suggest. The jewelry department can ONLY be emailed by the customer service and managers when calling Amazon, and the jewelry department will ONLY respond to those reps via email.
I had to file a dispute with my American Express (thank goodness for amex, the best credit card anyone can have ever, period, exclamation mark) in order to get a refund. I was on the phone with customer service for approximately 2 weeks before they agreed to issue a refund. This is after filing an "information" police report stating the obvious (box came empty).
Bottom line... I will never buy a high priced jewelry item from Amazon again.

I received a Tag Heuer Carerra 2 1/2 years ago as a Father's Day gift. Over the last 8-12 months each of the crowns (there are 3) fell off. The last one missing now renders the watch unusable. Took it to Tourneau for repair who say they send it to Tag for service. The estimate is $800!!! The watch was $2500. I have been unable to contact Tag Heuer to discuss this with them. No email provided and 800 number leads to a circular phone tree. The prompt for customer care just rings with no answer. This is terrible customer service and terrible product care.
